She then went on to complete a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the University of Toronto, and concurrently obtained a Masters' Degree in Clinical Epidemiology at U of T's Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. She holds Royal College certification in both General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.

His surgical interests include minimally invasive surgery involving the upper and lower GI tract, as well as open and laparoscopic abdominal wall/inguinal hernias.
He also has an academic appointment in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto and is one of the course directors for the General Surgery residency teaching curriculum.
